Constitution Essays

Here's the deal:

Pick one fouding father to study. Write four short essays, with your founder's perspective embedded within each essay. Each essay should contain an introduction paragraph, 2-3 supporting paragraphs, and a concluding paragraph. Your work should show research (cite at least 4 sources throughou the three assignments, MLA style), thought, and examples.

Essay #1 (30 points): How did your founding father participate in the Declaration of Independence and the Revolutionary war. What was his perspective on these things.

Essay #2 (30 points): Tell the story of the early government of the US, including the Articles of Confederation and the Constitutional Convention. How did your founder partiipate in these, and what major ideas and contributions did your founder make? Be sure to address the following issues: federalism versus anti-federalism, the Great Compromise, and Seperation of Powers

Essay or Presentation (you choose) (40 points): Reflect on the following question, from both your point of view and the view of your founding father, using at least 3 detailed examples:
Was the Constitution successful in preserving the natural rights of individuals as outlined in the Declaration of Independence?
